Actilax solution is a sweet, colourless to slightly brownish-yellow, clear or slightly opalescent solution.
Each 5mL contains 3.3g Lactulose and not more than 0.50g galactose, 0.33g lactose, 0.50g epilactose and others.
For chronic constipation.
Adults: usual initial dose is 15 to 30 mL daily. After three days, dose may be reduced to 10 to 25 mL daily for maintenance.
Children: it is recommended that Actilax is given to infants and children under medical supervision. Recommended doses based on age are provided on the product label.
May be taken mixed with fruit juice, water or milk"
Do not use if you suffer from bowel obstruction.
Prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may lead to dependence. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
