Actilax solution is a sweet, colourless to slightly brownish-yellow, clear or slightly opalescent solution.
Each 5mL contains 3.3g Lactulose and not more than 0.50g galactose, 0.33g lactose, 0.50g epilactose and others.
Adults: Usual initial dose is 15 to 30mL daily.
After three days, dose may be reduced to 10 to 25mL daily for maintenance.
Children: It is recommended that Actilax be given to infants and children under medical supervision.
May be taken mixed with fruit juice, water or milk.

In case of insufficient therapeutic effect after several days consultation of a physician is recommended.
