Children's Parachoc is a chocolate vanilla flavoured oral liquid for the medical treatment of constipation. It contains no bowel stimulant, so it is a gentle treatment for constipation.
Active ingredient: Each 5mL contains 2.5mL of Liquid Paraffin. Also contains Saccharin Sodium, Benzoic Acid and Potassium Sorbate.
Children 12 months to 6 years - 10mL to 15mL daily.
Children 7 years to 12 years - 20mL daily. Adults - 40mL daily.
Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare professional.
Do not administer less than 2 hours before lying down.
Do not administer in the presence of unexplained abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting.
Do not administer to children younger than 12 months.
Do not administer to a struggling, or uncooperative child, to children in severe distress, with severe developmental delays or with reflux.
Do not administer to children under 2 years of age without the advice of a doctor.
Do not administer over a long period of time without the advice of a doctor.
This product in no way replaces the need for a high fibre diet and high fluid intake to ensure normal bowel function. Inappropriate prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may lead to dependence.
