Savacol Mouthwash Freshmint is a broad spectrum antibacterial mouth and throat rinse that reduces dental plaque, aids the treatment of gingivitis and may relieve the discomfort of mouth ulcers. With a freshmint flavour.
Active Ingredient: 1.28mg/mol chlorhexidine gluconate
For mouth ulcers: rinse 3 times daily. For dental plaque: reduces dental plaque and the incidence of gingivitis. Rinse twice daily. Post dental treatment: On advice of your dentist only. Denture rinse: to prevent denture breath. Rinse daily in addition to denture cleaning. Adults: 15mls of undiluted Savacol. Children under 1: 7.5mls of undiluted savacol. Rinse or gargle for 10 min after meals. Spit out. If throat or mouth infection persists, seek dental or medical advice.
Savacol may cause reversible staining of the teeth & tooth-coloured restorations. It may lead to increased tartar production and a temporary alteration in taste perception. Stains resulting from the use of savacol will not adversely affect the health of your gums and can be removed by your dental professional. It is important to see your dentist for the removal of any stain or tartar at least every six months or more frequently if your dentist advises. Always read the label. Use only as directed. Incorrect use could be harmful. Consult your healthcare professional if symptoms persist.
