Increasingly, Australian state and territory governments, are supporting community pharmacists to expand the care that they can provide to their local communities. Depending on where you live in Australia, some expanded pharmacist services are being trialled whilst others have been approved as permanent services. Prescribing pharmacists have completed additional postgraduate training to ensure they are able to safely manage approved conditions.
How can we help?
Prescribing pharmacists can conduct consultations, assess your condition, make recommendations and where appropriate, prescribe medication. Eligibility criteria and consultation fees apply. Please speak to your local pharmacist for more information about applicable eligibility criteria and consultation fees.
Consultation fees are based on the time required to safely and appropriately assess and manage the specific medical condition.
- Pharmacist Practitioner Consults - Brief - Less than 10 minutes - $19.50
- Pharmacist Practitioner Consults - Standard - 10 to 20 minutes - $36.70
- Pharmacist Practitioner Consults - Long - 20 to 30 minutes - $70.50
