This medication is used to temporarily relieve eye redness, puffiness, itching, and watering that commonly occur with allergies. Naphazoline is a decongestant. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sympathomimetic amines. It works by temporarily narrowing the blood vessels in the eye.
Active Ingredients: Naphazoline Hydrochloride 0.25mg/mL, Pheniramine Maleate 3 mg/ml. Also contains: Sodium chloride, Benzalkonium chloride 0.1mg/mL as preservative.
Adult Dose: Instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3 to 4 times daily as required, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Prolonged use may be harmful. Unless advised by a doctor, individuals suffering from glaucoma or serious eye conditions should not use Naphcon-A Eye Drops. To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to eye or any other surface. Discard contents 4 weeks after opening.
